Green Grape Coral Frag

With its tightly-clustered appearance and magnificent colouration, the Green Grape Coral makes a perfect addition to your reef aquarium. Euphyllia cristata features distinctively tight polyp groupings which remain visible throughout both the day and night, resembling a bunch of green grapes.

During the evenings, its sweeper tentacles can extend up to six inches beyond its base into the reef aquarium surroundings. It can sting other neighbouring corals in the reef aquarium; therefore, it is best to leave plenty of room between itself and other types of corals. 

The Green Grape Coral requires moderate to high lighting conditions achieved by T-5s, powerful LEDs or the more intense metal halides combined with medium water movement within the aquarium. For continued good health, the Green Grape Coral will benefit from the addition of calcium, strontium, iodine, magnesium and trace elements to the water column.

The Green Grape Coral satisfies the majority of its nutritional requirements by means of photosynthetic, symbiotic zooxanthellae algae hosted within its body. However, it will benefit from supplemental feedings in the form of micro-plankton or baby brine.
