The African Basslet is a beautiful fish. Its elongated body is pinkish with yellow stripes on the head and white longitudinal stripes along the body.
An excellent reef-dwelling fish, the African Basslet may only pose a threat to smaller, ornamental crustaceans. Best kept singly in an aquarium without any other Basslets.
As a carnivore, the African Basslet will thrive on a diet of meaty foods including marine fish, crustacean flesh, mysis shrimp, and quality frozen preparations.
