The Fire Tomato Clownfish juveniles have thin white lines on their heads. As they mature, the Fire Tomato Clownfish will lose these head bars. Their flanks and pelvic fins will turn black, while their heads and abdomen retain a rich looking cinnamon shade of red.
The Fire Tomato Clownfish from Melanesia are more red in colour with less of a dark saddle on their backs compared to ones found in Indonesia.
The females will be the largest of the pair, and two fish will usually stay close to each other in the aquarium.
An aquarium containing an anemone of any type is desirable. In nature they host Bubble Tip Anemones, Crispa Anemones, Ritteri Anemones.
The Fire Tomato Clownfish diet consists of almost any meaty food items and herbivore preparations.
