Freckle Face Tang also known as the White Freckled Surgeonfish or Spot Face Tang are found throughout the Indo-West Pacific from the Maldives then from the Andaman Sea and Christmas Island in the eastern Indian Ocean to the Philippines and the Line Islands, north to the Ryukyu Islands, south to Samoa.

The Freckle Face Tang is a large surgeonfish species which needs plenty of swimming space and clean water to thrive. It usually lives solitary and can be aggressive towards other fish, especially other tangs and food competitors. With it's very pronounced mouth and freckled face it something different than the usual tangs.

Like other tangs, it will eat meaty foods, but it's important to make sure it can graze on algae/seaweed the entire day to make sure it will stay healthy. So feed flakes/pellets multiple times a day and make sure there is always seaweed available.
