The Greene's Trigger is mostly blueish purple grey in colour. The dorsum are marked with spaced spots that are darker than the rest of the body. The fish is also has darker lines across its cheeks, the tail is red in colour.
They can vocalizes using a "grunting" sound. The Greene's Trigger are very friendly and make a great pet as well as a great conversation piece.
An aquarium with rocks and caves provides a good habitat for the Greene's Triggerfish, however, it will tend to rearrange the landscaping and rocks.
The Greene's Triggerfish needs a varied diet of meaty foods including; squid, krill, clams, small fish and hard shelled shrimp to help wear down their ever growing teeth.
