Multi Banded Butterflyfish

Multi Banded Butterflyfish is a difficult species to maintain in the aquarium as they feed upon coral tissue in nature, however a diet consisting of live foods, finely chopped meaty foods and frozen foods should help to settle into the aquarium. In the wild they have been observed feeding on SPS coral polyps, amphipods, peanut worms, Polychaete worms, hydroids, copepods, algae and diatoms. They can be kept in pairs or small groups in larger aquariums, however they are not suitable for reef aquariums as they will eat soft and hard coral polyps.
