The Panther Grouper, is a large grouper species. With their perfect clean white base colour with black spots all over their body and uncommon shape they are something different than the usual fishes seen in many tanks. That is why it's not very uncommon to see one from time to time in a shop.

These fish are beauties when young, and will stay beautiful as adults but do get very large! They do grow very slow, so someone with a large tank can house one for a while, but sooner or later they will need a large aquarium. Also keep in mind that these fish are predators. Their main diet consists of small fish and crustaceans, so do keep that in mind when combining them with other animals. However they will not harm coral.
