The Red Strip Cardinal is a friendly schooling fish. It's one of the smaller and more colourful Ostorhincus species, making it a perfect fish for our aquaria. It has reddish stripes on a white body and some blueish-white thin lines. One white line is spotted, making it quite distinct from the other members of the family.

Like most Apogonidae, they can be kept as a couple, but in our opinion they look far better when kept in a school.

The Red Stripe Cardinal requires a well balanced diet of foods such as flake foods, pellet foods and chopped meaty foods.
