Yellow Tail Angel Fish are found on barrier reefs and lagoons, where it grazes on algae growth, sponges and encrusting organisms in harems.
This species is sometimes incorrectly called the Personifer Angel, however C.meredithi has a full yellow tail where as C.personifer has a mostly black tail with a small band of yellow at the edge.
